Ms. Fix and Ms. Hoover’s 2nd graders took on the Iditarod! 🐾❄️
From drawing their own mushers to diving deep into Alaska, sled dogs, race training, and survival on dangerous terrain—students became true experts. They tracked their musher’s progress through checkpoints, calculated all 975 miles in math, researched, wrote, and fueled some serious classroom competition along the way.

ALL PICK UPS WILL NEED TO OCCUR TO THE NORTH ON 7TH AVE (PRAIRIE).
BUSES WILL DEPART THE SCHOOL BETWEEN 2:50 AND 3:00 PM.
WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON TOMORROW'S SCHOOL PLAN AS WE LEARN MORE.
WE HAVE A WATER MAIN BREAK ON WESTWOOD AVE. AS A RESULT, WE HAVE NO WATER PRESSURE AT THE SCHOOLS. THE CITY IS ATTEMPTING TO SHUT OFF THAT BREAK AND RESTORE WATER PRESSURE. IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO, WE MAY NEED TO SEND STUDENTS HOME EARLY TODAY.

Competing in the largest event in Cheerfest history, alongside 9 other teams in their division, this is an incredible accomplishment. Mrs. Goodan's students made continents with landforms. They drew pictures of the continents and landforms then added water to see how the water altered the landform.
