Happy St. Patrick's Day from Mrs. Mosley's class!

Shelby's Second Graders concluded a unit on the 2025 Iditarod race in Alaska. Each student followed a musher and their team of huskies for over 1100 miles and tracked their progress daily until they finished in Nome, Alaska. Throughout the unit, the students learned about how the teams care for their dogs, what the sled looks like and carries throughout the journey, Alaska’s geography, and the strong will of the competitors. They thoroughly enjoyed this adventure, and will hopefully take their knowledge with them and follow future Iditarod races.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Students and Missoula Children's Theatre directors worked hard last week to produce an amazing production of Alice in Wonderland! We are so proud of everyone who participated!
Special thanks to Elliott and Maria Crump for hosting the directors, to Gwen Heaton, Alyssa Cliver, and Shannon Scarborough for providing dinners for directors,
and all families and community members who supported this opportunity for our students!

We had a fun group of students who earned PAWS slips last week. Way to go!

Shelby Elementary students are helping to fight hunger in Montana. Each grade level has a container for collecting money. Points are gained by adding pennies and bills to containers. Lower other classroom totals by adding silver coins to their containers. The winning grade level gets a pizza party!
