For more than 10 years SHS has been “Exploring America” gaining great knowledge of our countries history. This year we have 15 students who will travel to see the Eastern Seaboard and places such as the oldest public park in Boston, and the Salem Witch museum in Salem, MA. Students will also journey to Lexington, where the first shots of the American Revolution rang out on the Battle Green and visit Plimoth Plantation to experience life as a Pilgrim in 1692. We will also get to go sightseeing in “the Big Apple”-New York City and enjoy at hit Broadway show and romp through New York’s own backyard playground, Central Park. We will visit Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love and our nation’s capitol, Washington, D.C. where we will observe the quiet dignity of Arlington National Cemetery and explore the many Smithsonian museums. Our travels begin at the end of March for a 9 day trip sure to be the highlight of year for these students. There is still time to sign up, please call Mrs. Sanchez if you are interested!
