2018 Browning CC Invitational

The Shelby High School Cross Country Teams participated in the Browning Invitational Meet which was held at the Cut Bank Golf Course. The weather was perfect for running.
Leading the Coyotes to the finish line in the High School Boys Race was Lucas Fretheim with a time of 21:55 placing 34th. Crossing the finish line in 49th place with a time of 24:03 was Chase Evans. John Pastrana ran the 3.1-mile course in 27:04 placing 54th. Ben Aklestad and Brenden Hagood finished the race in 58th and 59th place with times of 29:28 and 30:06 respectively. Michael Sanchez did not run. There was a total of 60 runners.
In the High School Girls Race, the Coyotes were led by Carly Parsell placing 4th with a time of 23:15. Kaylee Appley finished the race in 20th place with a time of 26:09. Hannah Nelson crossed the finish line in 46th place with a time of 34:27. There was a total of 49 runners.
There was a total of 19 runners in the Junior High Girls Race. Sage Hobbs, Brianne Higgins, and Anna Aklestad finished the race in 14th, 15th, and 18th place with times of 13:50, 13:53 and 14:29 respectively.
Clayton Jorata and Joey Riehl ran in the Junior High Boys Race, crossing the finish line in 42nd and 43rd place with times of 13:51 and 14:50 respectively. There was a total of 46 runners.
This Friday (October 12, 2018) the teams will participate in the Harlem Invitational Meet at the Harlem's Golf Course. Races will start at  10:00 AM with the Junior High Boys, followed by Junior High Girls, High School Boys, and High School Girls. This will be the the final tune-up before the State Meet for the High School runners, and the final meet of the season for the Junior High runners. Take a drive and cheer on the Coyotes to the finish line.
