2018 CC Mike Reynolds Time Trials

The Shelby Sr./Jr. High School Cross Country Teams traveled to Cut Bank and participated in the Mike Reynolds Time Trials. The weather was on the breezy side. No team scores, as this was just the time trials.
 
In the High School Boys Race, the Coyotes were led by Lucas Fretheim placing 136th with a time of 21:55. Running in his first cross country race was Chase Evans with a time of 24:40 placing 182nd. Michael Sanchez crossed the finish line in 195th place with a time of 26:58. Freshman Ben Aklestad finished the race with a time of 30:20 placing 202nd. Brenden Hagood running in his first cross country race covered the 5K course in 34:06 placing 203rd. There was a total of 206 runners in the race.
 
In the High School Girls Race, the Coyotes were led by Carly Parsell placing 101st (there was a glitch with the timer). Covering the course in 106th place was Kaylee Appley (there was a glitch with the timer). Hannah Nelson finished the race in 145th place with a time of 31:22. There was a total of 155 runners.
 
In the Middle School Boys Race running in 61st place was Clayton Jorata with a time of 15:12. Running in his first cross country race and covering the 2.5K course was Joey Riehl with a time of 15:21 placing 62nd. There was a total of 65 runners. 
 
In the Middle School Girls Race placing 31st was Sage Hobbs with a time of 15:00. Anna Aklestad ran in her first cross country race and crossed the finish line in 37th place with a time of 16:22. There was a total of 40 runners. 
 
Now we have a starting point, the team will continue to work hard in practices and hopefully, the times will come down. 
 
This week the Junior High runners will have the weekend off and the High School Team will travel to Malta and participate in their invitational meet at Marian Hills Golf Course on Saturday (September 8, 2018). Race Times are 10:00 AM for the Boys Race followed by the Girls Race.
