I was born and raised right here in Shelby, Montana. Both of my parents come from longtime Shelby area families and I am fortunate enough to have a lot of my extended family here as well. I graduated from Shelby High School in 2003 and was and always will be a Shelby Coyote. However, I do claim to be a Montana State Bobcat as well. I graduated from MSU in 2008 with a degree in Social Studies Broadfield and History. I continued my education and earned a master’s degree in Special Education. Originally my intent was to study history and law but quickly realized my passion was in education. When the opportunity to return home to teach presented itself I was excited and ready to come back. I had to convince my Nebraska Cornhusker husband but thankfully he loved the community of Shelby just as much as I do. In our spare time, we love college football season, camping, rafting, traveling, and especially our poodle Vinny. We are the proud parents to two girls Elizabeth and Camilla. My career goal as a teacher is to always be someone children can look up to and trust. I want to give back to the community that raised me. I want to always be valuable as a mentor and role model to my students. Lastly, I want to help students grow into competent and successful adults.
