Kamie Barnhill

Certified Staff - 3rd Grade


Mrs. Barnhill is a Conrad, Montana native who graduated from Eastern Montana College (now known as Montana State University-Billings) in the spring of 1987 with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. 

She began teaching in the fall of 1987 at a Preschool in Great Falls. The next year, she taught Kindergarten-8th grade at a Hutterite Colony. She then went to a country school and taught Kindergarten-6th grade for 4-years. In 1993, Mrs. Barnhill was offered a position teaching Special Education in Conrad. She taught children with special needs for 18 years, which consisted of Preschool-3rd grade.  She then moved to first grade and spent 5-years there and her last 3-years have been teaching 2nd grade. Mrs. Barnhill is also a swim team coach in the summer.
Mrs. Barnhill has a husband and 2 boys.  Her husband works for the Montana Department of Transportation in Conrad.  Her two sons are both high school students.  One is a senior and the other a freshman.  They both love swimming and wrestling. So Mrs. Barnhill is busy chasing all their activities. She is happy to be teaching in Shelby. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly.
