I am a Shelby, Montana native who graduated from the University of Montana in the fall of 1997 with a BA degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I immediately moved back to my hometown; as a result, I started teaching in Shelby full time and have just completed my twenty-third-year teaching third grade and am looking forward to another successful year. I am married to Mike White, an Athletic Director, Coach, and he teaches High School PE/Nutrition classes. We have 5 children:  Chase, daughter-in-law Alexandra, grandson Finn (5 yr.), granddaughter Willow (2 ½.) who farm & make their home in Medicine Lake, MT; Tyler, who coaches Jr. High football & basketball and who is working his 2nd year as a paraprofessional at Shelby Schools; Aaron, who is completing his last term at Dickinson State (playing football-QB & recently married Abbey Aklestad this summer); daughter Elizabella (11) entering 5th grade – our “witty socialite girl,” and our youngest, Grady (9) a third grader who loves everything about golf, basketball, & football. Oh, and I can’t forget – our silver lab, Nala (2 ½ yr.) is an extreme escape artist, lol!  Never a dull moment :)
