Administration - Principal

P: (406) 424-8910 ext. 3

I am Kyle Fisher, and I will be serving as the new Shelby Junior High/High School Principal.  I am excited about my return to the Hi-Line.

I attended Havre Public Schools for my K-12 educational experience.  After graduating from high school I chose to stay in Havre and attend MSU-Northern with a wrestling scholarship.  I love being around people and helping them to succeed so I chose education as my career.  I graduated from MSU-Northern with a major in Health and Physical Education K-12 and a minor in History Education 5-12.  After graduation, I was fortunate to receive a teaching job at Havre High School covering both of my areas of concentration.  The first year was a steep learning curve, but I felt confident this was the career for me.  Upon completion of my third year of teaching, I decided I wanted to learn more about education so I could find more strategies to help my students have success in and out of the classroom.  Two years later I had a Master of Science in Education: Learning Development.  I thrived with teaching in the classroom and forming valuable relationships with students, parents, faculty, and community members.  Education became my passion and all I wanted to do was create beneficial, safe, and positive educational experiences for all involved.  During my seventh year of teaching, I once again decided to continue my learning in the areas of education.  In January of 2012, I decided to pursue my Administrative Endorsement through the University of Montana.  As I was close to finishing my Administrative Endorsement, I started applying for administrative positions.  In the spring of 2013, I was selected to lead Alberton School District as the K-12 Principal and Activities Director.  After my first year in my new position I finished my administrative endorsement.  Fast forward four years and here we are with five years of administrative experience.  Throughout my thirteen and a half years in education, I have learned something new daily and continue to learn today.  Education is a career where we have to continually be students ourselves in order to benefit everyone in the educational process.
I now live in Shelby with my wife, Lexy and our 5-year-old daughter, Zoey.  We are excited about the opportunities Shelby provides and cannot wait to become active members of the community.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year.
