December PAWS Winners- Best Student

High School

Ag Science-  Bryant Mertz-  “Bryant has been a faithful FFA member and inquisitive agricultural science student since junior high. He has participated in many FFA events and even traveled to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN. When he's not feeding his steers and heifers, he's helping buck hay or working on his Chevy. He never misses a wrestling practice and works hard to become better every day.”  Mr. T. White

Art-  Zoey Brown-  “Zoey not only does everything that is required of her but she goes above and beyond every assignment. It doesn't matter what it is, she always adds more to the project. She also does her best work at all times and pays attention to the details.”  Ms. Aspensen

Business Education-  Ayelleah Brown-  “Ayelleah Brown is a wonderful student to have in class. She is intelligent, polite, listens to directions, stays on task, manages her time, and is willing to help others. It's a pleasure to see her daily.”  Ms. O’Brien

English-  Kelsyn Lohr-  “Kelsyn Lohr is consistently prepared for class and has a positive attitude each day. She takes risks with her ideas and writing and brings interesting discussion points to the class. This is the second year I have had her in AP English/Literature classes, and I love that she goes beyond what is required for an A, but truly wants to absorb everything she can to challenge and prepare herself for college. Kelsyn is kind, compassionate, and respectful to others.  She is a leader in the classroom.  I feel very fortunate to have her as a student!”  Ms. Calvery

Math-  Ryan Simpson-  “Ryan is very consistent in Math since Day 1. He's very smart and most of the time showed his deeper understanding of the lesson in our everyday activity.”  Mr. Pastrana

Music-  Rachel Hould-  “Rachel Hould is a hard-working senior who is also working to make the choir the best it can be. She leads sectionals and rehearsals when asked and demonstrates a strong vocal presence regularly.”  Mr. Gruber

Physical Education-  Trenton Emerson-  “Trenton is an outstanding student. He leads by example and is always able and willing to step up and help. Trenton never misses a day and is a joy to be around!”  Mr. M. White

Science-  “Kelsyn Lohr is a hard-working, intelligent student.  She works very hard at learning the material for learning sake, not just a grade.”  Ms. Tokerud

Social Studies-  Jahna Welker-  “The quiet, unobtrusive, and stealthy Jahna consistently turns in work that is beyond the high school level. I believe her reading comprehension level is higher than mine and she writes an essay better than Joan Didion.”  Mr. Lee

Junior High

Ag Science-  Donnie Tronson-  “Donnie has shown that he wants to be involved in Ag Class. He is also currently serving as the Junior High FFA Treasurer where he helps collect money from fundraisers and count the money for deposits. He works very well in the shop and is willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Donnie is a very hard worker and has a great leadership style that everyone likes.”  Mr. T. White

Art-   Maya Gorth-  “Maya works hard and goes the extra mile at all times. She is not satisfied to stop at meeting requirements but takes every project to its outer limit. ”  Ms. Aspensen

English-  Paolo Manda-  “Paolo Manda works very hard to make sure he understands what needs to be done and accomplish it. His concern for his academic growth and hard work make him an excellent student.”  Ms. Hough

Math-  Randon Richman-  “Randon Richman is a great math student!  He works hard on every homework assignment, comes to class prepared, and is willing to help others.  His hard work pays off as he earns stellar grades in math.”  Ms. Clark

Music-  Delaney Clark-  “Delaney Clark is one of the strongest musicians in both band and choir. Her musical background is demonstrated regularly in the class where she is able to help her classmates understand musical concepts. She is always willing to lead class whenever asked.”  Mr. Gruber

Physical Education-  Tyler Hansen-  “Tyler is truly an awesome student.  He works hard and gives 100% in class.  He never complains and does what is asked of him the first time.  He is the best!!!”  Ms. Kincaid

Science-  Jazmine "Razzle" Preuss-  “Razzle is my dark horse in Jr. High science. Whereas she may be quiet, she is constantly thinking, constantly working, and constantly trying her best. She has a Neil Armstrong analytical mind that the more you get to know her, the more you see how smart she is.”  Mr. Lee

Social Studies-  Parker Parsons-  “Parker is an amazing student.  He is a very hard worker.  He is always on top of all his assignments and is so well behaved.  Parker is always ready to go and is helpful to others.  Way to go Parker!!!”  Ms. Kincaid
